Cilento is our land.
It is a land that smells of sea and broom,
that welcomes you with open arms;
surprises you suddenly with its magical sunsets
and warms you with its traditions,
with its slow rhythms, almost of old-fashioned times.
Unesco sites, breathtaking views and genuine flavors:
we will help you explore Cilento
whenever you want!
The cliff of Ascea and the path of the lovers
When everything around is just waking up and the air is fresh, saddle up and off you go!
First a 2.8 km promenade, then up the sheer cliff, step after step... but, in the end, the view repays all the effort: it's a hiking trail, but it's called "path of the lovers" because once you get to the top you feel magically at peace with the world, as the gulf and the sea are so beautiful from up there!
And on the way back, pull out your towels and dive into the clear waters of Silver Bay!
We don't know if you will fall in love with your walking partner, but you will surely be enchanted by the cliffs of Marina di Ascea!

Sunset aperitif
There are things that are almost too good to be true; among them, the sunsets of a thousand shades of the Gulf of Velia.
There are some who are still at the beach and bathe as the sun sets, some who return from their afternoon jog and stop to admire the pink sky; someone else enjoys it while taking a photograph.
We believe that such beauty deserves company: the company of a terrace overlooking the sea and a cool glass of fiano cilentano

Velia and Paestum
A World Heritage Site, these are two must-see archaeological excavations.
It only takes a couple of minutes by car to reach Elea-Velia, the city of the Eleatic Philosophical School. It was founded in 540 B.C. by the Phocians, a community of exiles coming from Asia Minor, who at length sailed before reaching these shores.
The site runs from the southern quarter, with a path up to the Acropolis, where a Norman-Angevin castle now stands overlooking the gulf.
And judging by the view from uptop, it is clear why our ancestors chose to settle here!
Paestum, with its majestic temples, needs no introduction. You just need to carve out a few hours to visit the ruins and the National Museum (the site can be reached by train and is 40 minutes away); before or after, we suggest a nice lunch-tasting at the nearby dairies, incredible sources of dairy and other local products.

Vallo: town rich in shops, artists ed artisans
Vallo della Lucania is the town around which Cilentanians' lives gravitate: schools, the hospital, the courthouse, stores, banks and small-town services meet the simple logistics and authentic social relations of the little town.
Today, its well-kept and refined historic center is a popular destination for shopping and, from the happy hour onward, it rejuvenates thanks to the customers gathered at the tables of lounge bars in the upper part of the square.
It's worth mentioning the imposing Diocesan Museum (which houses works of sacred art) and its Pinacoteca, but also the small and charming artisan shops which are repopulating the village.
And while shopping and having a cocktail in the square is a classic, moving from there to discover our favorite trattorias is absolutely recommended!
From July 26th to the 29th, not to be missed are the patronal festivities of St. Pantaleon.

Coastal villages
Even if in Ascea you move by bike and strollers, the car is very useful to go visit the nearby coastal villages, some of which, are magical stone harbors:
Acciaroli, stylish example of urban recovery, with its church placed there almost as if it should protect boats, fishermen and visitors; Pioppi, where the beautiful Palazzo Vinciprova, overlooking the lovely and romantic promenade, houses the Museo Vivo del Mare and the Museum of the Mediterranean diet; Pisciotta, a village that looks like a nativity scene, Palinuro and finally Marina di Camerota, which holds enviable records thanks to its white beaches. We recommend that you spend a full day here - and don't forget to bring your bathing suit!

Boat days
The view from the sea of the coast is breathtaking and spending at least a day on a boat is a must!
For couples and families with kids, boarding from Palinuro or Marina di Camerota is very easy, as you can also take advantage of the Ascea-Pisciotta railway connections.
Enjoying a boat trip is possible even for those who do not want to set sail for a full day. Those who are unaccustomed to seafaring or in the company of small children, can experience tailor-made excursions: above all, the Ascea's coves of Baia della Rondinella, which can only be reached by sea in a few minutes, are must-see and within everyone's reach.

Nature Trails
The renowned coast is beautiful, even wild and evocative, but it is the inland that is the real surprise for those who want to get away from the beaches for a day.
Unknown to most, inland Cilento is a treasure trove of biodiversity, unique views and living, unchanged traditions.
From the sea to the mountains, from north to south, clay soils alternate with limestone rock, creating ever-changing, evocative landscapes: the Calore gorges, the WWF Oasis of Morigerati and the Pertosa Caves are just three examples, testifying to how imaginative, rich and generous Nature can be.
